Mia Kirshner was born in Toronto, Canada to Etti, an English teacher and Sheldon Kirshner, a journalist. She’s a grand daughter of Holocaust survivors and has a younger sister. She was next seen in Denys Arcand’s movie ‘Love and Human Remains’. She won a Genie nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role. In 1996, Mia Kirshner appeared in ‘The Crow: City of Angels’. In the hit series ‘24′, she portrayed bisexual terrorist Mandy in 2001. In 2006, Mia appeared in ‘The Black Dahlia’ where she portrayed young actress Elizabeth Short.
Mia Kirshner published a book ‘I Live Here’ in October 2008 which features original material from well known comic and graphic artists. She secured #43 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2002. At the 2002 MTV awards, she and Beverly Polcyn were nominated for the best kiss in ‘Not Another Teen Movie’.

Eventually, she discovers that she’s lesbian and it breaks her relation with Tim. In a recent poll, it comes into light that Jenny is the most hated character on ‘The L Word’ because of her tendency to cheat on her lovers.
